From September 9–11, 2026, visitors can meet SUNY GROUP at the Bombay Exhibition Centre (BEC), NESCO, Goregaon, Mumbai, where the company will present practical solutions for both conventional and more complex cable waste streams. IFAT India is one of the region’s major platforms for water, waste and recycling technologies, bringing together equipment manufacturers, recyclers, technology providers and industry professionals.
Solutions for Different Cable Recycling Needs
SUNY GROUP approaches cable recycling based on the characteristics and value of the incoming material rather than relying on a single processing method.
For thick and valuable cables, cable stripping machines provide a direct way to separate the insulation from the conductor. Models covering cable diameters from 1 mm to 200 mm are available, allowing operators to recover intact copper with minimal processing and avoid unnecessary shredding or granulation.
For mixed cable scrap and higher-volume applications, copper wire recycling machines combine crushing, granulation and air separation in a continuous dry process. Available capacities range from 50 kg/h to 1,000 kg/h, producing separated copper granules and reusable plastic while avoiding the need for water-based separation.
Specialized Equipment for Difficult Cable Waste
Some cable types require more than conventional stripping or granulation. Jelly-filled cables, ACSR conductors and other multi-layer or composite cables can create additional separation challenges because of their construction and material combinations.
SUNY GROUP therefore offers specialized recycling solutions for these difficult streams, including equipment designed for jelly-filled communication cables and aluminum conductor steel-reinforced cables. The objective is to improve material separation, reduce processing bottlenecks and increase the recovery value of complex cable waste.
