Jelly-filled cables, whose main components include copper and plastics, are slippery and difficult to process with conventional equipment due to the oily substance filling them, placing greater demands on the performance of the recycling equipment. Our system combines innovative technology and sophisticated design to effectively address the special challenges of these cables from feed to separation, helping customers achieve the highest possible recovery rates while increasing economic efficiency.
The system’s recovery process is well-designed and efficient. First, the cables pass through a conveyor belt into a powerful primary crusher equipped with blades specially designed for jelly-filled cables, which can easily cope with their oily nature. After the initial crushing, the cables are processed into small pieces of approximately 3 centimeters and transferred to a vibrating screen system. A belt-type magnetic separator is located above the vibrating screen to extract any ferrous metal content that may be present in the cable.
Next, the crushed material enters a flotation tank. In this stage, the plastic sheath floats on the water surface due to buoyancy and is collected through a screw conveyor. The remaining copper wire is transported via a second screw conveyor to the subsequent processing stage. This part of the residual copper wire undergoes two additional crushing processes and is further processed into fine particles of about 2 mm. These particles are then fed into two hydraulic shakers for the final separation of copper and aluminum. This precise process allows for the efficient extraction of high-purity copper and aluminum resources.

It is important to note that to ensure the quality of the recovered copper, the separated copper is manually collected and processed in a dryer. The dried copper not only prevents oxidization but also further enhances its market value. In addition, to effectively manage the water resources used in the process, it is recommended that the customer establishes an accompanying filtration and sedimentation tank system to ensure that the entire process is environmentally friendly and sustainable.
This jelly-filled cable recycling system not only offers superior performance but also balances environmental and economic benefits. With an overall power of 185 kW and an operating voltage of 220 volts, the machine can support the processing of approximately 1,000 kilograms of cable per hour, which is perfectly suited to high-volume industrial production. The machine weighs 15 tons, covers an area of 20 x 10 meters, and has a height of 4.5 meters. Despite its large size, it is extremely compact and easy to operate and can be adapted to a variety of production scenarios.
