Successful Installation of Waste Copper Cable Recycling Equipment in Malaysia

Recently, our installation and commissioning team traveled to Malaysia to successfully install a set of efficient waste copper cable recycling equipment for a local customer. The team spent 13 days on-site, deeply engaging with the customer’s operations. Not only did they complete the installation and commissioning, but they also conducted in-depth discussions with the customer’s team on equipment usage and maintenance best practices, ensuring that the customer can operate the system proficiently and maximize its efficiency.

The installed equipment has a processing capacity of 700-800 kg/h, a weight of 5500 kg, dimensions of 10.4m x 2.1m x 3.3m, and a power requirement of 75 kW. The process involves several key stages:

Preliminary Shredding: The waste cable first enters the two shaft shredder for initial Shredding.

Secondary Crushing: The shredded material is further processed in the secondary crusher to break it into smaller particles.

Separation: The crushed material enters the pulse airflow separator, where the difference in weight between copper and plastic, along with the screen’s friction, separates the two materials.

Fine Separation: To further enhance the purity and recovery rate of copper, the remaining material is fed into a high-voltage electrostatic separator, where copper and plastic are finely separated through electrostatic adsorption.

Dust and Fiber Collection: The system is also equipped with dust and fiber collection devices to ensure a clean and environmentally friendly production environment.
